Day 2: [Real]ationships ?
Dear freshman diary,
I came to a realization today in lunch while Marie was telling me about her boyfriend, while I eavesdropped on a couple who just recently got together. Lately the main thing people seem to worry about are realationships. But now-a-days people seem to be so desprate that they ask whoever, whenever, and however. I get the point of people wanting to have a special someone to talk to, someone to hug, someone to hold hands with; but has this gotten to the point where that special someone is anyone ?
There is, not ony boys, but even girls throwing temselves out at people. I waked by one of these people in school, you know the type that want a boy/girl friend ust to have one, there was absolute silence you could see the uncomfortableness in their face. I mean , whatever happend to going out on dates (remember that thing where people would go out to walk and get to know eachother BEFORE they beame boyfriend and girlfriend) ? getting to know that significant other first ? Now its just whether or not the person is hot.
Have realationships suddenly lost the word ‘real’ to it ? Has it just turned to ‘ationship’ ?
